Modi welcomes Myanmar president to India

Myanmar President U Win Myint was on Thursday received by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Win Myint is on an official visit to India after an invite from Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, according to the Ministry of External affairs.

He was expected to hold bilateral talks with Modi and exchange bilateral agreements.

The Myanmar president is accompanied by the First Lady, Daw Cho Cho.

They will be visiting Agra and Bodh Gaya, a holy place for Buddhists.
