On delimitation row, Telangana Minister D Sridhar Babu says, "The delimitation exercise which the Central government is planning to take without considering the interest of south Indian states, especially Telangana, would be detrimental to our people who will be using their political voice in parliament. Our demand and request to the Central govt is to freeze the 1971 census, and on that, the delimitation process should carry on or on a pro-rata basis for each state, and the percentage of increase in the number of parliament should be taken."

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal says, "...During PM’s visit to the US in February 2025, both sides announced plans to negotiate a mutually beneficial, multi-sector Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA). In the three-language formula, the first choice is the mother tongue, the second choice is English, and the third is any one language from the list of 22 languages... This is nothing but a political war... We are pressurizing the states to start education in their mother tongue..."

Supreme Court grants interim bail to Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party MLA Abbas Ansari in a case under the UP Gangsters Act, with conditions.

SC directed that Ansari must stay at his official accommodation in Lucknow, seek prior permission from the District Administration and the trial court to visit his constituency.

Further, SC directed that Ansari cannot leave Uttar Pradesh without the trial court’s permission. The court also directed that Ansari must not make any public statements about ongoing cases before the Court. However, the Court clarified that Ansari’s right to defend himself in these cases should remain unaffected.

SC also directed that Ansari must appear before the trial court whenever required.

The top court has listed the matter after six weeks and has directed that a status report be filed on the UP police’s conduct with Ansari.
