Pune Police's Official Statement On Shocking Swargate Bus Stand Rape
Pune Police have registered a case against Dattatray Gade for allegedly raping a woman at Swargate Bus Stand. Efforts to capture the accused are ongoing.
Pune: The Pune Police on Wednesday filed a case against Dattatray Ramdas Gade for the alleged rape of a 26-year-old woman at the Swargate ST Bus Stand. The accused remains at large.
In a statement, DCP Smartana Patil explained that the victim, a working woman, was waiting for her bus when Gade approached her.
He falsely told her that her bus had been moved and led her to a nearby bus, where the alleged assault took place, she informed.
DCP Patil confirmed that CCTV footage has helped identify the accused.
“We have identified the culprit, and we are working hard to apprehend him. The victim is stable now, both mentally and physically,” Patil stated.
On the girl’s condition, police said, “The girl is stable now mentally and physically."
