Registration for Monthly Scheme 'Mahila Samriddhi Yojana' for Delhi Women to Begin on March 8
Registration process for providing ₹ 2,500 per month to women from economically weaker sections under Mahila Samriddhi Yojana in Delhi will begin on March 8.
New Delhi: The registration process for providing ₹ 2,500 per month to women from economically weaker sections under Mahila Samriddhi Yojana by the BJP government in Delhi will begin on March 8, party MP Manoj Tiwari said on Sunday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party in it's Delhi Assembly election manifesto, promised to provide ₹ 2,500 per month to women belonging to the economically weaker section under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, after it comes in power.
Registration for Mahila Samriddhi Yojana to Kick-Off
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, on the sidelines of an event, told PTI that, “We are beginning registrations for our announcement of ₹ 2,500 to be provided to poor women in Delhi from March 8”
Appealing to women to register for the scheme, MP Manoj tiwari said, “A list of beneficiaries will be prepared. The entire process of providing ₹ 2,500 to every financially poor woman will be completed in one and a half months”

Manoj Tiwari also said that important decisions are being taken by the BJP government and the opposition should also cooperate accordingly.
The opposition Aam Aadmi Party has targated the Rekha Gupta led BJP government for not approving the scheme in its first Cabinet meeting, as promised by the Prime Minister.
AAP Left Behind ‘Empty Coffers’
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has claimed that the previous AAP government left behind "empty coffers" for the new BJP regime, while assuring that all the promises made by the party to the people would be fulfilled.
On Saturday, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, when asked about the implementation of the scheme offering ₹ 2,500 per month to eligible women, stated that details would be clarified soon.
"March 8 is Women's day, and I feel that every day in India should be celebrated as Women's day. The newly formed BJP government in Delhi is ready to work for every section and let the date of March 8 come, things will become clear soon," Sachdeva said.
