At the summit, Adnan Sami shared that his decision to choose Indian citizenship came for the “forthcoming generation”. Pointing at his daughter, who was seated in the audience, he added that he has always taught her that ‘patriotism’ is not a choice. 

Adnan Sami started the summit session by singing his popular track Lift Kara De, and followed it up with a soulful rendition of Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao. He dedicated the song to India, expressing his belongingness to the country.
