Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a new death threat, demanding Rs 2 crore to spare his life. The threat was sent in a message to Mumbai’s Traffic Police Control on Tuesday, with sources confirming that an unknown person issued the threat. The message warned that if the payment was not made, Salman Khan’s life would be in danger.
Fresh Threat Demands 2 Crore to Spare Actor’s Life
The Worli police quickly registered a case against the unidentified individual and have begun an investigation. This is not the first time Khan has faced threats, as he has been in the public eye for such incidents before.
Arrest Made Over Past Threat
Just a day before this new threat, Mumbai Police had arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly issuing death threats to both Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. The young man first sent a threatening message to Siddique’s helpline, followed by a voice call, warning of possible harm to both Siddique and Khan. This call was traced back to a public relations office in Bandra East.
Siddique’s father, Baba Siddique, who had close ties with Khan, was recently killed by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They cited Baba’s friendship with Salman Khan as one of the motives behind the attack. Following his father’s tragic death, Zeeshan Siddique—who is running as an NCP candidate from Bandra East in the upcoming assembly elections—expressed concern for his safety.
Salman Khan, a close friend of the Siddique family, has reportedly been deeply worried about Zeeshan's well-being since the attack on his father, who was a trusted ally. The police is now focused on investigating both cases to ensure the safety of all involved.
