Security Breach in Delhi Assembly: Police Arrests Sarabjeet Singh for Crashing Into the Premises and Throwing Ink on Assembly Speaker's Car

Delhi, India: A massive security breach was recorded in the Delhi Assembly today as a car crashed inside the barriers through the gate no. 2, threw ink at the Assembly Speaker's car and managed to escape the scene. The incident occured on Monday (April 5th, 2026) in the afternoon. 

Witnesses report that the car drove right into the building premises, circled around for a moment, and then sped off after vandalizing the speaker Vijender Gupta's car. The driver broke the iron gates of the premises and also kept a flower bouquet on the porch. It has been confirmed by the officials that there were no explosive or any other dangerous substance in the bouquet. The car in question, bearing the number UP-26 AZ 8090, has been identified to belong to Sarabjeet Singh and has an address of Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh.  

Following the incident, Delhi Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are relying on CCTV footages and other security records to identify the person behind the wheels. Officials are also evaluating the points of entry and speaking to the staff that were on duty at the time of the incident.

As per latest updated, the car has been seized and the accused has been arrested by Delhi Police.
