6 Killed, Dozens Injured As Private Bus Collides with Container Truck in Telangana’s Suryapet

Suryapet: At least six people lost their lives, and several others sustained severe injuries after a private travel bus crashed into a moving truck under the Kodad Rural police station limits in Telangana’s Suryapet district early Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred around 5:20 AM near the Durgapuram stage while the bus, carrying 43 passengers, was travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.

The impact caused extensive damage to the front of the bus, trapping several occupants inside.

Emergency services and local police rushed to the site shortly after being alerted, launching immediate rescue and relief efforts.

All injured passengers were evacuated from the vehicle and shifted to local hospitals in the area for urgent medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the six victims were transferred to the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

Police authorities confirmed that an investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances leading to the crash, including whether driver fatigue or high speed contributed to the collision.

Traffic on the stretch of the highway was disrupted while authorities cleared the wreckage.
