BREAKING: Massive Fire Erupts in Chemical Godown in Thane’s Bhiwandi

Mumbai: A massive fire erupted on Thursday at a chemical godown situated on Mankoli Road in Bhiwandi, Thane, sending plumes of thick smoke billowing into the sky. Anjur Phata Station Incharge, Shailesh Shinde, confirmed that the fire brigade received an urgent call at 5:10 PM, alerting them to the inferno at Pritesh Complex in Dapoda village.

"The fire broke out at a chemical godown, and the situation is compounded by the continuous bursting of chemical drums," stated Shinde. “Efforts to extinguish the blaze are underway, but we are encountering challenges due to the intensity of the fire and a shortage of water.”

No casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
