Ranveer Brar was his poetic best at the Republic Plenary Summit 2025. In his candid conversation, he spoke about food, stories and the culture of India going global. He talked about how "food is democratic" and a medium to express with which India can has and will continue to make impact globally. His message was to dream big and don't be shy about it.

"Apni mehnat ki dish mein zidd aur besharmi ke ingredients daal do. If you dream, then don't be shy about it. If you are dreaming then do it in a shameless kind of a way," Ranveer said in a lighter vein.

PM Narendra Modi is the Chief Guest at the Republic Plenary Summit 2025. Ranveer manifested cooking for him and left him with a thought, giving him a choice to pick between the cuisines from Gujarat and Kerala . "I manifest it here. Two regions that speak to me a lot are Kerala and Gujarat. I feel the food there has the right mix of diversity and balance in flavour and I look forward to celebrating that with you. Leaving that thought with you sir," he said.

"A lot of stories have unravelled through food and that is what I have done in my life. Connecting stories with each other and that process has continued for 10 years. I think the way to look forward is to look back. It is in our DNA. It is impressive how food can transform people's personalities. Food is a big medium of information. It is important to invoke from inside and to go back. That is all there is to it. As a society, we have a lot to discover through our food. That is why I invoke a lot of it in my stories and my food."

Talking about his journey in the food industry, Ranveer said that it all started back for him in Lucknow. "I will say this. That place where I grew close to food was Lucknow. They used to sell that chana and on the papers that used to sell the popcorn on those newspapers. The cheap books... It is the small town that teaches you the hustle and the art. Aap expression dhoondte hain apna. Everyone is looking for an expression and the medium does not matter. We are expressing ourselves and the world is taking notice, then the medium does not matter. Expression for me is of very important value and we need to imbibe more from our culture. When I opened up restaurants outside India, I had to add a hyphen like new and modern India. Now India doesn't need any hyphen."

"If I give people chai patti, everyone will make it differently with the same five ingredients. India has crores of ingredients. We are so diverse and beautiful," Ranveer said.
