Debate With Arnab: FlyDubai Flight In Rapid Descent As Pilot Stabbed In Cockpit, Israel On Alert

Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, carrying 174 passengers, most of them Israelis, sent a general emergency code (7700) and then a hijack alert (7500). It dived about 17,000 feet before landing at Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. According to Israeli officials, the Omani co-pilot is suspected of stabbing the Indian captain. Passengers and off-duty pilots stormed the cockpit and helped land the plane safely .

Israeli authorities are looking at a terror angle, and officials say they don't yet know whether the aim was a hijack, a crash, or a 9/11-style attack. Hours later, a second Flydubai flight on the same route, FZ1081, turned back to Dubai .
