Statements attributed to Disha Salian’s friends and associates contain varying accounts of her reported connection with Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR). Some statements say she never met or spoke with Sushant and was not his personal manager, while another reportedly describes a work-related meeting with colleagues. The CBI registered an FIR after the Bombay High Court found serious concerns with the earlier Mumbai Police inquiry and ordered the transfer of relevant case records. The Court stressed that nobody should be treated as an accused unless the investigating officer finds sufficient material to raise reasonable suspicion. Any questions about witness statements, call-record requests, alleged pressure or connections between the cases are matters for the CBI to establish through evidence.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said it is inappropriate to speculate while the CBI investigates. Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has made allegations about pressure on witnesses, while Rabia Khan, mother of late actor Jiah Khan, has voiced personal concerns over evidence preservation.
