Speaking after Brooklyn's 129-92 win over Orlando Thursday (25 February), Kyrie Irving discussed his desire to have Kobe Bryant become the NBA logo. Irving was asked about a post he made on Instagram Wednesday where he had an image of Bryant in the position where Jerry West's silhouette currently lies. He said he understands that not everybody would like the idea, but believes using Bryant's image would be meaningful to his generation of players who looked up the superstar, who died last year in a helicopter crash.
