Babar Azam was struck during net practice by one of Khurram Shahzad's deliveries in a video that went viral on social media.
The Pakistan Cricket Team has been sweating it out as they prepare for the Bangladesh series. The men in Green will lock horns with the Bengal Tigers in a few days and the matches will be taking place in Karachi and Rawalpindi. The Pakistani side has named some top players in the squad and has opted for a pace-heavy unit. Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned to prepare themselves for the series. With Shan Masood leading the side, Saud Shakeel has been appointed as the vice-captain for the series. Babar Azam is also set to feature in the competition.

Babar Azam Struck in the Groin by Khurram Shahzad’s Blazing Spell During Net Practice in Rawalpindi
Babar Azam has been putting in the effort as he has recently seen facing the ball in the nets at Rawalpindi. In a video which has been viral over social media, Babar was hit by one of Khurram Shahzad's deliveries during net practice. Babar was struck on his groin and he looked to be in discomfort. But after a while, the former skipper resumed his practice and continued to face the deliveries after doing a few stretches. Shehzad came ahead to check up on Babar, who had crouched due to the pain.
Khurram Shehzad delivered some solid balls to Babar Azam, which included an outswinger which barely missed the stumps. In another delivery, Babar attempted a drive but was clean-bowled by Khurram's spell.
Pakistan went for a stronger pace attack with the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Khurram Shehzad, Naseem Shah and Mir Hamza. Considering the weather conditions at home, the strategy to have a pace-heavy side could do wonders for the hosts as they face off against the relentless Bangla Tigers.
They would aim for a stronger comeback after the shambolic outing in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The Shan Masood-led side wants to make an impact on red-ball cricket. The team's intense training has been done to keep themselves game-ready against Bangladesh.
The Men in Green will host the Bangla Tigers in a two-match Test series in Pakistan from August 21, 2024.
