Team India currently is taking on Australia in the first of the five T20Is. Having lost the World Cup final at the hands of the Aussies, this series could turn out to be a redemption for the home soil. Both sets of team are scheduled to be involved in a five match T20I series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad involved in a bizarre mixup in the first T20I

Relying on Josh Inglis' maiden T20I century, Australia posted a massive 208 runs on the board. During the match a bizarre incident happened as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been involved in a major mix up. Jaiswal pulled the ball to deep backward square leg and called for a single. After completing the first one he called for a single and his partner even responded to it. But he didn't complete the run and came to his crease after a couple of steps forward.

But Gaikwad had almost crossed the halfway of pitch and Nathan Ellis' direct throw was easily dislodged by Matthew Wade. Marcus Stoinis had a laugh at Jaiswal who must be ruing himself after letting his partner down.
