Deepak Chahar wants to make a comeback to Indian team

The 31-year-old, who hasn't represented India since December of the previous year, has faced a series of injury setbacks in the recent past. Chahar suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the season, causing him to miss a significant portion of the IPL, where he was part of the Chennai Super Kings squad.

"A player should not get disappointed by injuries. These things are not in a player's hand. My priority right now is to remain fit and be available for the team. I will give my 100 percent for the team whenever I get a chance. In my case it can also be said that I was having a bad time. Last year I suffered a back injury, which is serious for a fast bowler but now I am completely fit. I am very happy with my bowling at the moment," Chahar told PTI on Tuesday.

Chahar's ongoing struggles with injuries

Chahar's absence from the IPL 2022 was due to a back injury, and he also had to sit out of the T20 World Cup held in Australia due to these health issues. Chahar is not part of the ODI squad that has been announced ahead of the three-match series against Australia. He also missed out on the Asia Cup 2023 because of his injury.
