Yuvraj Singh speaks out on Dravid's infamous declaration
During an interaction with Sanjay Manjrekar in JioCinema's Home of Heroes, Yuvraj Singh discusses Dravid's infamous decision to declare the innings right before Sachin Tendulkar's 200 runs. He revealed that instead of worrying about his wicket, he turned towards Sachin, who was not happy over what had transpired.
'We got a message in between that we have to play faster as we would declare. We both were hitting. Sachin was on his 80s and suddenly he went to 194. He could have got those six runs in another over. And we actually bore eight or 10 overs after that. I don't think another two overs would have made a difference to the test match. Obviously, i got out, and they declared suddenly. rather than me thinking 'Oh, I got out', I looked at Sachin, he was not happy. You could see that. There was another over or maybe two, he could have easily got this.' he mentioned.

Sachin Tendulkar opens up on Dravid's decision at Multan
The infamous moment at Multan erupted as a massive point of debate as several fans may have thought that Dravid's decision would affect the morale among team members as Tendulkar wasn't able to reach his record. But Sachin assured in his autobiography that there is no animosity among the cricketers over the incident.
‘I assured Rahul that the incident would have no bearing on my involvement on the field, but off the field, I would prefer to be left alone for a while to come to terms with what had happened. Despite this incident, I am glad to say Rahul and I remained good friends and even on the field, our camaraderie remained intact until the end of our careers. We continued to have some good partnerships and neither our cricket nor our friendship was affected.’
