Tony de Zorzi had a dream moment with Virat Kohli in the second Test

Tony de Zorzi announced his arrival in the ODI series as the 26-year-old registered his maiden ODI century in the 3-match series recently. He then showed a glimpse of brilliance in the red ball format too as he forged a crucial partnership with Dean Elgar to nullify the initial damage inflicted by the Indian bowlers in the first Test.

However, during the second innings, the Proteas batter was seen keenly gazing at Virat Kohli while standing at short leg. Kohli had just arrived at the crease and had no idea that he had an avid admirer in his opposition team.

Virat Kohli was a lone warrior in the second innings

The former Indian skipper is recognised as one of the finest batsmen India has ever produced. Virat once again tried to bail his team as he looked to be in solid touch against the South African bowlers. He managed to pose a great challenge as India lost a few quickfire wickets and navigated his way to his 30th half-century. But the absence of a partner hurt India's chances and they went on to lose the match as South Africa registered their biggest home win against Team India.
