Australia powered their way to a six wicket win over India to clinch their sixth ODI World Cup title. Batting first the Men in Blue didn't have any answer to the Aussie bowlers as their innings got wrapped up within a paltry 240 runs. Virat Kohli also collected a whopping 765 runs in a single World Cup edition, the highest by a batsman in the history of the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma got past Chris Gayle as he currently has the most number of sixes (579) in international cricket.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma also holds the record of having hit the most number of sixes in World Cups. He has smashed 51 over boundaries in 27 World Cup innings.
