David Beckham opens up on his unheard cricketing skills
Legendary British Footballer David Beckham, who witnessed the India vs New Zealand CWC 2023 semi-final in Mumbai, while speaking to BCCI in an interview stated that he would have liked becoming a batter. Beckham said that he used to play as a batsman while playing cricket in childhood. David Beckham said:
I used to play cricket when I was a young kid at school, and I always liked being a batter. But, I also like to bowl and I also like to field. So, maybe I am an all-rounder, but see myself more as a batter. You know what? I would always say football fans, but being here today, I am not so sure. The atmosphere is incredible. The fans are creating an electric atmosphere and they are very loud, so I am not so sure.

The Indian cricket team has played thrice in the finals of the ODI World Cup, where they have been able to taste glory twice, and they lost once against Australia in 2003. The Indian team now has the best chance to win the third 50 over the World Cup title when they play the finals on November 19 in Ahmedabad.
