India came out victorious in front of a jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium crowd in the IND vs PAK ODI World Cup 2023 match. This was Team India's third win in the 2023 edition of the major ICC tournament and eighth against Pakistan. The Indian team also kept its undefeatable record against Pakistan intact in the 50-over World Cup.

Laxman Sivaramakrishnan shares a disheartening incident he faced during IND vs PAK matches

The Indian cricket team received immense support during the India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match in Ahmedabad and there were cheers for the Indian team in all parts of the ground. The spectators also chanted ‘Jai Shree Ram’ during the match which received a bit of opposition from the Pakistani fans. However, former Indian spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has supported the chants that were sung during the match. Siva also shared the disrespectful and racist comments he faced from the opposition fans during his playing days. Laxman Sivaramakrishnan wrote on his official ‘X’ handle: 

What abuses I have got as a 16 year old in Pakistan,only I know. From my colour to my religion to my country and culture. For Heaven’s sake if you have not experienced it, please don’t talk about it.

What is next for Team India in the ODI World Cup? 

Team India will now face Bangladesh in its next ODI World Cup 2023 clash on October 19 in Pune. The Indian team has displayed a complete team performance in the CWC 2023 so far and will aim to continue the same in the rest of the tournament. Team India has done well in all three departments in the tournament so far and will not like to change the team combination in the coming matches.
