It was yet another heartbreaking moment for India at the ICC events as they lost yet another final. The Indian team lost to Australia in the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup by six wickets played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Indian team was once again not able to break its ten-year-old drought of not winning an ICC title.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shatter in tears after loss against Australia 

Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma and batter Virat Kohli shattered in tears following the loss against Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Rohit and Virat put up some fantastic batting displays throughout the CWC 2023 and 597 and 765 runs respectively with the bat. At one end Rohit slammed a hundred against Afghanistan, and Kohli hit a total of three centuries and also broke a lot of records.

Australia script sixth CWC win after commanding win over India 

While chasing down 241 runs, Australia were 28/0 after the end of the first two overs and openers David Warner and Travis Head tried to give their team a solid start. However, Australia lost the wickets of Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith, but it was Head and Marnus Labuschagne who added 192 runs for the fourth wicket and took the match away from the Indian team. Head played a knock of 137 runs whereas Labuschagne remained unbeaten on 58 runs.
