Mohammad Hafeez responds angrily to Michael Vaughan's criticism of Pakistan cricket

Hafeez voiced his criticism on social networking platform 'X,' telling Vaughan to stop interfering with other people's problems and instead concentrate on finding solutions to his difficulties. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) omitted David Willey from the core contracts, prompting Willey to declare his retirement.

“Better stop peeping into other’s problem and sort out ur disputes first. We have sizeable insight about our issues and will surely resolve them @MichaelVaughan,” Hafeez posted on ‘X’.

Vaughan, on the 'X' platform, commented that the Pakistan locker room seemed unusually calm, and joked that someone might resign or share a WhatsApp message to shake things up.

“I worry about Pakistan tomorrow. It’s been too calm this last couple of days. They need someone to resign today or leak a whatsapp message,” Vaughan had posted on ‘X’.

In the past, Vaughan had also expressed disapproval towards the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in response to the internet disclosure of private WhatsApp conversations between Pakistan captain Babar Azam.

David Willey's retirement news raised concerns

With England facing the most challenging ODI World Cup campaign in its history, Willey's retirement has sparked rumours about the mood in the team's camp. The fast bowler decided on social media, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to represent England and saying that he felt the World Cup in 2023 was the right time to retire from international competition.

“I never wanted this day to come. Since I was a young boy, I've only ever dreamed of playing cricket for England. So, with careful thought and consideration, it is with great regret that I feel the time has come for me to retire from all forms of international cricket at the end of the World Cup,” Willey wrote in his post.

England, the current World Cup champions, are currently in last place in the tournament standings. Pakistan are now in sixth place and have a small chance of advancing to the semifinals.
