IND vs AFG: The Indian Cricket Team was in top form on October 11, 2023, in New Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium for the ICC One-Day International World Cup. With 90 balls remaining, India trailed Afghanistan by eight wickets. With the toss in their favour, AFG elected to bat first. They were able to amass 272 runs while losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. The Afghans managed to amass this score with eight wickets falling but Rohit Sharma and his side were able to catch up in just 35 overs. India as of now have won their first two games, and on October 14, 2023, they'll be at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to take on their biggest rival, Pakistan.

Swiggy celebrates India's victory over Afghanistan in unique fashion

Swiggy, one of the biggest food delivery companies, has been following the ICC ODI World Cup with whole heart just like every Indian right now. The prestigious tournament is being hosted in India (as a lone host) for the very first time in history.  On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and his team are trying their level best to win the ODI World Cup 2023, which India last won under MS Dhoni in 2011.  

Looking at Team India’s progress so far, it seems like it will end its ICC trophy drought this November. Swiggy, in the post shared a classic meme template which showcases a delivery guy who is delivering food to the countries that Rohit Sharma and his team are scheduled to face in the ODI World Cup. In a recent post after India beat Afghanistan on Wednesday, they posted a meme with the caption “2 delivered. 9 more to go”. This specifies that India will be delivering defeats to their opponents in their next nine matches in the ODI World Cup, which includes the final. It also shows the delivery guy heading towards Pakistan, who will face India on Saturday.

How does India’s ODI World Cup look so far?

On October 5, 2023, they kicked off their campaign against Australia and struggled in the upper order, but due to Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s partnership, they beat Australia by 6 wickets. They beat Afghanistan on Wednesday with the help of Rohit Sharma’s century and are now set to face Babar Azam and his team, who they destroyed in the Asia Cup 2023 last month.
