Manchester  United's Lisandro Martinez provides a depressing update on his condition

Lisandro Martinez knows the value of patience after suffering his second metatarsal injury in less than five months. This setback has increased the length of his absence until 2024, creating a serious problem for the defender. Although he suffered the original break in April, he was able to recuperate in time to participate in the preseason. Martinez played for the Red Devils in six games. But the problem flared up again in September during a 3-1 loss to Arsenal, and he had to have surgery. Martinez, who is resting in Argentina, is conscious that it would be counterproductive to try to speed up the healing process. Talking to TNT Sports, Lisandro Martinez said:

"I am in the process of recovery and happy to be here visiting the club,"  "It is the second time that an injury like this has happened to me. So, you have to be patient."

To take a step back and look at the big picture, Erik ten Hag's squad has had a rough start to the season, and key player injuries have only made things worse. The Red Devils' bad luck has continued, with 17 regulars missing time due to injury since the start of preseason. Among these famous players missing in action are defenders Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Luke Shaw.
