It's a boy! USA soccer star Alex Morgan announces birth of first child

US soccer star Alex Morgan announced the birth of her first child on Saturday. Morgan posted on her social media accounts that Charlie Elena Carrasco was born at 11:30 a.m US eastern time (1530 GMT) Thursday, weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces. The 30-year-old Morgan married MLS player Servando Carrasco in 2014 and the couple announced Morgan's pregnancy in October. Morgan said last year that she would like to continue playing for the United States through to the 2023 World Cup.
