Jadon Sancho calls Cristiano Ronaldo the GOAT after his historic achievement in the SPL
Cristiano Ronaldo's former Manchester United colleague Jadon Sancho has declared the Portuguese sensation the greatest football player of all time (GOAT).
Ronaldo made history as the highest goalscorer in a single Saudi Pro League season while he was a player for Al-Nassr. On Monday, May 27, he scored twice for his team in their 4-2 victory over Al-Ittihad.
With this outstanding effort, Ronaldo has tied the record for most goals scored by a player in a single season with 35 goals in 31 games in the Saudi Pro League this season.
Ronaldo celebrated this milestone on Instagram, sharing his delight and happiness at his most recent record-breaking feat.
Jadon Sancho, who partnered with the 39-year-old in 37 games during Cristiano Ronaldo's time at Manchester United, was involved in one shared goal in a variety of tournaments. Sancho added a GOAT emoji to his reply to acknowledge Ronaldo's greatness.
They had a great working relationship from August 2021 until November 2022, which was Ronaldo's second spell at Old Trafford. But after a clash with manager Erik ten Hag in November 2022, Ronaldo's contract with the English team was amicably ended. He then decided to join Al-Nassr in January 2023.
Ronaldo has performed admirably since joining Al-Nassr. He has appeared in 63 games in various tournaments, totalling 58 goals and 15 assists. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has failed to win the AFC Champions League or the Saudi Pro League championship with his current squad, despite his outstanding individual performances.
