Hong Kong beat Germany to get women's team bronze in table tennis

Hong Kong beat Germany 3-1 in women's team table tennis to pull off a comeback victory and win bronze.

The Hong Kong team of Lee Ho Ching and Doo Hoi Kem dropped the doubles rubber to Shan Xiaona and Petrissa Solja in four games to go down early.

But three straight singles wins, by Soo Wai Yam Minnie over Han Ying (3-1), Doo over Solja (3-0), and Soo over Shan (3-0), confirmed the 3-1 overall win.

The USA are through to the basketball final after surviving an early scare to beat Australia 93-78.

Australia will play for bronze.
