This distance surpasses Neeraj's gold medal-winning throw at the Tokyo Olympics by 18 centimeters.

Grenada's two-time world champion Anderson Peters also made a significant impact in the final with an impressive 88.63-meter throw on his first attempt. Jakub Vadljech of Czechia, who edged out Neeraj by 2 centimeters at the Doha Diamond League earlier this year, also secured his spot in the final with a throw of 85.63 meters. Vadljech, who won the silver medal in Tokyo with an 86.67-meter throw, remains a formidable competitor.
