ATP Finals: Semi-final qualification scenario for Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev
ATP Finals: With just one spot left in the semi-final, Rafael Nadal will take on Stefanos Tsitsipas, while Alexander Zverev will take on Daniil Medvedev.
The ATP Finals in London is approaching the semi-final stage with Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Roger Federer confirming their place in the last four. With only one spot left, the upcoming matches will be crucial for Rafael Nadal and defending champion Alexander Zverev, who are in a must-win situation.
ATP Finals semifinals scenario

The group has World No 1 Rafael Nadal, defending champion Alexander Zverev and newcomers Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev. Tsitsipas is the first semi-finalist from the group after winning his two matches against Medvedev and Zverev. Friday’s matches will complete the semi-final line-up for the year-ender tournament. Tsitsipas will face Nadal and Zverev will take on Medvedev on Friday.

If Nadal and Medvedev win, the Spaniard will qualify for the semifinals followed by Tsitsipas on the second spot. If Nadal and Zverev win, Zverev will take the semifinal spot along with Tsitsipas. In this scenario, Tsitsipas will be leading the group.
If Tsitsipas and Medvedev win in two sets, both of them will qualify for the semifinals at ATP World Tour Finals 2019. However, if Tsitsipas and Medvedev win in the three sets, the defending champion, Zverev with take the semifinal spot along with Tsitsipas.

If Tsitsipas and Zverev simply win their matches on Friday, both of them will qualify for the semi-finals in London

World Number 5 Dominic Thiem has already confirmed his place in last four after his victories back-to-back victories over Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Federer also confirmed his place in last four after beating Novak Djokovic on Thursday. Matteo Berrettini was already knocked out of the tournament after losing his first two matches.
