CM Punk's first WWE match in 9 years has been officially announced, to clash against former champion
The WWE offered a treat for the fans as they announce CM Punk's first match in 9 years, which will take place against a third-generation superstar.
Everything froze over when CM Punk made his return to WWE at the Survivor Series: War Games in Chicago. It was jaw-dropping as the Second City Saint made his way back to the brand that he left on sour terms. Indeed, it was a blockbuster surprise that was well-kept under the wraps. With Punk returning to the promotion, a boatload of opportunities and dream matches have opened up for the superstar.

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has provided a holiday bonus for all wrestling fans as they have announced a major CM Punk update. The recently returned superstar will be gracing the squared circle and will be in action at a show. For the first time in over nine years, CM Punk will be in action, and it will be taking place in the World's most famous arena, the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Arena's X (formerly Twitter) account has revealed the news that CM Punk will be in the WWE Show taking place at The Garden, and he will be in action against the former NXT North American Champion, 'Dirty' Dominik Mysterio.
However, since it is a WWE Live show, there will be no TV broadcast or live streaming, which means that the fans at home will not be able to watch CM Punk in his return match. Both superstars will go down again at a WWE live event on Saturday, December 30th, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA

CM Punk officially becomes a RAW superstar
There was a lot of buzz on where CM Punk was headed and which brand he would move forward with. With Randy Orton signing for SmackDown, it made sense that Punk should head to the Red brand.
Punk eventually did so and signed to RAW to be a part of the Monday Nights. It will allow him to have some power-packed feuds, and the one with Seth Rollins is already brewing, and it could lead to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.
