Realme Rumoured To Launch 5G Smartphones Relatively Early
Would Realme launch 5G smartphones?
Realme, fresh of its launch of the Realme 3 Pro, could be one of the early adapters of 5G network standards in India. This is because the company has reportedly stated that it intends to adapt 5G services even ahead of the local operators. Now, as per IANS, Realme has 5G smartphones in its launch pipeline and this device is also speculated to be driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Also, a Communications Today report references the same and hints at the launch of 5G-enabled Realme phones at an unknown point in time in the near future.
At this juncture, Realme has also announced the Realme X and Realme X Lite range of smartphones; both of these devices are mid-range and are seemingly popular considering the fact that there are rumours about a Redmi X smartphone being in the pipeline as well.
As far as 5G is concerned, even Reliance Jio this year stated that it intends to deploy 5G services in Gujarat. This was made official at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit during January this year.
Also, OnePlus recently announced the launch of a 5G-enabled OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone that would be available in the UK. This variant joins the current LTE-enabled OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro – with the price of the former (base variant) starting from Rs 49000.
