The original release date for the game was set for March 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release has been postponed. No new release date for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 has been set. A window for release has been mentioned though and this early 2021.

- Thinblood: Every player in the game starts as a Thinblood. Thinbloods are a type of clan that hasn’t reached their maximum potential yet. This clan does not live for too long and has strange and interesting powers. The player can turn into a bat or use telekinetic powers
- Brujah: This is the heavy hitter clan. This clan is filled with vampires that look very strong and are lethal in combat. The main attention of Brujah’s is potence and celerity. Potence gives them unimaginable strength and celerity gets them agility.
- Tremere: This the clan of Vampires that want to live forever and have partaken in blood magic to ensure that. They believe in two disciplines, Thaumaturgy and Auspex. Thaumaturgy gives them the ability to boil the enemy's blood and Auspex heightens their sensory abilities.
- Toreador: This is a group of Vampires that believe in the life of the party. These are basically comprised of artists. The main disciplines for this clan are presence and celerity. Presence allows the clan to command over an audience and celerity gives them unbelievable speed.
- Ventrue: These are the capitalists, big businessmen of the industry. They have a strong bloodline and the disciplines they believe in are Domination and defense. Domination allows them to entice their enemies and defense gives them more endurance to attacks.
- Malkavian: These are different types of individuals that have suffered in life. The main disciplines of this group are the Dementation and Auspex. Dementation helps them to haunt other individuals and Auspex heightens their sensory abilities.
