Social media apps like Twitter and Instagram introduced the new dark mode feature. Apps like Youtube, Instagram and Twitter are amongst the social media apps that have introduced this dark more a few months ago. While Twitter and YouTube introduced this feature long back, Instagram was the last one to roll out this feature. According to the Tech Ahead, the main reason why apps are introducing the darker mode is that it saves battery. This also reduces the strain on the eye in low light conditions. Netizens since then, have been reacting to this. While some simply loved the new feature, there are a few who made memes on the same.

The memes which were made on this mode complained about too much darkness and eye fatigue and others just cracked jokes. Some even explained the difference they face when they use dark mode on Instagram and twitter and then switch to Whatsapp. These problems are slyly shown through memes and gifs. Some even demanded other apps like Whatsapp to switch to dark mode.
Users can switch to the system-wide dark mode setting on their smartphone to use this feature. The new dark mode feature in Instagram works on Android and iOS apps. On an iOS version phone, it will run on iOS13 and on an Android version phone it will run on Android10 or higher. People who have not updated their phone cannot access this feature yet.
