iOS 18: Here are top features, supported iPhone models

iOS 18 update: Apple will host its annual fall event, that is, It's Glowtime, on September 9. At the event, the company will launch its next-generation iPhone models, which will include the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, this year. These new iPhone models will run the iOS 18 that was announced at the Worldwide Developers' Conference or WWDC 2024.

Shortly after the launch of the iPhone 16 series, the company will start rolling out the iOS 18 to all older supported iPhone models.

-- Apple Intelligence: One of the highlights of iOS 18 is its capability to bring generative AI capabilities to iPhones in the form of Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence will bring AI-powered image editing tools and writing tools to the supported iPhone models.

-- Photos app: Apple Intelligence will also superpower Apple's Photos app. With iOS 18, users will get access to an updated Collections section that will automatically organise a users' library based on topics such as Recent Days, Trips and People to name a few. Users will also get access to a carousel that will highlight images from a users' collection in a poster-like view.

-- Message app: Apple is bringing support for RCS messages with iOS 18. In addition to that, users will be able to schedule their message to share them at a later time.

-- Safari: Apple is also giving a major boost to Safari with the launch of iOS 18. The updated Safari will automatically detect relevant information on a page and highlight it a user browses the internet.

-- Passwords app: Apple is introducing a new app called the Passwords app with the launch of iOS 18. This app will store all of a user's credentials and sync them across Apple's ecosystem of devices.
