Netweb Technologies partners with NVIDIA to manufacture GPU Servers in India
Major Indian conglomerates, including Reliance Industries and Tata Group, have also aligned with NVIDIA to deploy GPU-based servers in the country.
Netweb Technologies, a prominent domestic computer server manufacturer, has entered into a strategic partnership with NVIDIA, a leading chipset company, to produce servers designed for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-end computing applications. The collaboration positions Netweb as a manufacturing partner for the NVIDIA Grace CPU Superchip and GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip MGX server designs.
NVIDIA, globally dominating the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) chipset market with an 88% market share, is in high demand for AI technology development. Netweb Technologies, as part of the collaboration, will manufacture over ten server variations under its Tyrone range of AI systems. These systems are designed to cater to a diverse range of AI and high-performance computing/supercomputing applications.
Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director for South Asia at NVIDIA, highlighted the significance of building the right AI infrastructure at a cost-effective rate, especially as AI permeates various industries. He expressed confidence that NETWEB's Tyrone AI systems, based on NVIDIA MGX, will address these challenges, providing flexibility to enterprises for applications such as generative AI, speech analytics, text analytics, and automation.
Major Indian conglomerates, including Reliance Industries and Tata Group, have also aligned with NVIDIA to deploy GPU-based servers in the country. Netweb's NVIDIA MGX platform-based portfolio is positioned to contribute to the establishment of sovereign AI infrastructure in India and other nations.
Netweb Technologies recently qualified for the IT hardware PLI 2.0 scheme, entitling the company to incentives for the production of computer servers. The collaboration between Netweb and NVIDIA aligns with the Make-in-India initiative, aiming to bring locally manufactured cutting-edge technologies to global standards.
Sanjay Lodha, Chairman and Managing Director of Netweb, emphasized the pivotal role of backend infrastructure and capabilities in the success of generative AI and related technologies. He lauded NVIDIA's initiative to support the Make-in-India vision, foreseeing the convergence of India's immense skills, requirements, and appetite to capitalize on the growth of AI.
The GPU-based servers manufactured through this partnership are crucial to supporting the escalating demand for high-speed data, driven by the widespread adoption of 5G networks.
