Video: India’s DRDO Tests Guerrilla Warfare Missile Successfully

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful flight test of the Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM). This third-generation weapon system was tested at the KK Ranges in Ahilya Nagar to validate its precision against moving targets using top-attack capability. Developed indigenously under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the MPATGM features a state-of-the-art Imaging Infrared (IIR) Seeker that ensures fire-and-forget functionality in both day and night conditions. The missile is equipped with a tandem HEAT warhead designed to defeat modern main battle tanks protected by explosive reactive armor. With an effective range between 200 meters and 4 kilometers, this lightweight system offers immense tactical flexibility for infantry units. The successful validation of its avionics and guidance systems by DRDO and partners like Bharat Dynamics Limited paves the way for its imminent induction into the Indian Army.
