US Passes Biggest Military Budget in History

The United States has approved its biggest ever military budget. The bill is called the National Defense Authorization Act for 2026 and it was passed by US Congress after President Trump asked for a slightly smaller amount. Lawmakers agreed to spend 901 billion dollars on defense and security programs. The money will go toward building new ships and submarines for the Navy, buying modern fighter jets and helicopters for the Air Force, and strengthening missile defense systems. It also covers tanks and armored vehicles for the Army, along with research in advanced areas like artificial intelligence, hypersonic weapons, and unmanned systems. Troops will receive a pay raise and the bill continues support for Ukraine through military aid and training.
