Arnab Goswami’s Take: Donald Trump Has Carried Out An Unconditional Surrender In Iran Ceasefire

According to President Trump, he entered the conflict to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. The war ended—for the time being, at least—with a proof that Tehran has an arguably more potent deterrent against future attacks, one that is less expensive to use, provides Iran significant influence over the world economy, can generate income, and cannot be negotiated away: the Strait of Hormuz. In the course of the last five weeks, nearly 12,000 American missiles, bombs, and drones have struck Iranian targets, destroying the nation's navy and a large portion of its military infrastructure. Approximately 1,500 Iranians and several of the country's leaders perished, including over 170 in a hit on a girls' school that seemed to be the product of mistaken targeting.
