China has firmly dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s accusation that Beijing is secretly conducting nuclear tests, reaffirming its adherence to a self-defensive nuclear policy. Speaking at a regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that China remains committed to its no-first-use principle and continues to uphold the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). As a responsible nuclear-armed nation and a permanent UN Security Council member, Mao emphasized that China fully supports global efforts to prevent nuclear testing and maintain strategic stability.
