A massive fire erupted at Hong Kong's Wang Fuk Court Housing Complex in Tai Po on the afternoon of November 27, 2025. So far, nearly 44 people have lost their lives and around 279 remain unaccounted for. The Hong Kong Police have taken three men into custody—aged between 52 and 68—linked to a construction firm, including an engineering consultant and two company directors. This incident marks the worst fire in Hong Kong in 17 years, burning uncontrollably for over ten hours.
