The Indian Army’s Eastern Command posted a 1971 newspaper clipping that shed light on long-standing U.S. military support to Pakistan, even during its violent campaign in East Bengal (now Bangladesh). Shared under the “This Day That Year” series, the post came shortly after former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed India was profiting off the Ukraine war by reselling Russian oil.
