Video: Palghar Chlorine Gas Leak Triggers Panic in Vasai West

A sudden chlorine gas leak in the Dewan Maan locality of Vasai West, Palghar, triggered widespread panic among residents. Emergency teams quickly evacuated people from the area, with around 10–12 individuals hospitalised due to breathing issues, eye irritation, and nausea.

Firefighters reached the spot without delay, used oxygen masks, and moved the damaged chlorine cylinder to a nearby drain to neutralise it safely. Authorities have brought the situation under control, though the incident has renewed concerns over chemical safety in the region.
