Trump Assassination: Witnesses Recall Each Moment of Chaos in White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Chaos erupted at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on April 25, when a gunman attempted to breach the ballroom where President Donald Trump, senior administration officials, cabinet members, and hundreds of journalists were gathered. Witnesses described sudden panic as security shouted for everyone to get under the tables. Secret Service agents quickly rushed to the stage. They escorted Trump and Melania Trump out, followed by several cabinet officials, including Marco Rubio, Stephen Miller, Scott Bessent, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Chris Wright. Guests remained on the floor for several minutes while security cleared the area. The suspect, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, was arrested shortly after the incident.

Multiple journalists inside the ballroom captured the terrifying moments on their phones, describing how the dinner had barely begun when the security breach occurred. The event was abruptly cancelled, and the hotel was sealed off with heavy law enforcement presence, including police vehicles and helicopters overhead. President Trump later announced he would hold a press conference from the White House.
