VIDEO: Vivek Ramaswamy Announces Bid for Ohio Governor Weeks After Quitting Elon Musk's DOGE
Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential contender, announced his intention to run for governor of Ohio on Monday, not more than a month after he resigned from his position as head of a government efficiency project in the Trump White House. Ramaswamy is not the first Republican to run for office in an attempt to replace GOP Governor Mike DeWine, who is limited in his tenure. Last month, State Attorney General Dave Yost declared his intention to run for the party's candidacy. Another candidate for the Democratic candidacy is Amy Acton, who oversaw DeWine's state department of health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
