Ajit Pawar Plane Crash: Frame-By-Frame Breakdown Of How The Jet Met Its Deadly Fate? | New Footage
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, aged 66, tragically died along with all five people onboard when his Learjet 45 crashed during an attempted emergency landing in Baramati on January 28. New CCTV footage that surfaced shows the aircraft flying straight initially before suddenly tilting sharply to the left, nosediving behind buildings, and slamming into the ground with a massive explosion upon impact. Eyewitnesses reported multiple blasts following the initial fireball, describing the moment the jet "went silent" just before the crash. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) indicated that dense fog may have played a role in the disaster, contributing to the loss of control during the final approach. Pawar was en route from Mumbai to attend a Zilla Parishad event in his hometown when the tragedy struck.
Rescue teams arrived quickly but found no survivors; Pawar's death was confirmed through remains recovered at the site amid scattered debris and intense fire. The five victims included Pawar, three passengers, and two crew members. The crash has sent shockwaves across Maharashtra's political landscape, especially coming ahead of crucial local body polls, where Pawar was a key NCP figure and power broker. Authorities have launched a full investigation into mechanical failure, weather conditions, and pilot actions, while the nation mourns the sudden loss of a senior leader known for his strategic role in state politics.
