Video: Massive Protest Broke out Against Government's Aravalli Plans

Hundreds of activists and residents protested the Supreme Court's recent adoption of a new elevation-based definition of the Aravalli Hills in the streets of Udaipur, Rajasthan, in a potent demonstration of public indignation. 

Defining the Aravalli hills as features rising 100 meters or more above local relief, according to critics, may remove protection from about 90% of the range, allowing for mining, building, and ecological devastation.
