Big Battle Brewing? Jharkhand Govt Invites Students for Talks as August 20 CM Residence Gherao Looms

The JPSC-JSSC aspirants’ protest in Jharkhand enters its 24th day as the state government invites student representatives for talks at the State Guest House in Ranchi. The students have agreed to attend the meeting, even as they remain firm on their demands over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations.

The protesters have also announced plans to gherao Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s residence on August 20 if their demands are not addressed. The upcoming government-student meeting could be a key moment in determining whether the ongoing deadlock can be resolved.

The protesters said they would not withdraw the demonstration until the government addresses their demands, including the cancellation of examinations in which alleged irregularities were found and an independent probe into the recruitment process.
