BREAKING: FIR Registered Against JNU Professor Bimol Akoijam In Sexual Harassment Case

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has terminated Professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, who was accused of sexual harassment by 11 female students. Delhi Police has also registered an FIR following a complaint by JNU’s Chief Security Officer.

The FIR was registered at Vasant Kunj North Police Station on October 11 under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The FIR mentions Akoijam’s name, and the police investigation is underway. The allegations remain subject to investigation.
