Delhi Rocked by Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Deadliest Civilian Strike in a Decade
The Red Fort explosion has jolted Delhi, marking the most severe civilian strike attributed to Jaish-e-Mohammed in the past ten years. The blast, triggered inside a Hyundai i20 near the Red Fort metro station during peak hours, killed nine civilians and left over 20 injured.
Investigators have confirmed the use of an ANFO device—an improvised mix of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil—detonated by a suicide bomber connected to a Faridabad-based terror module. Notably, just hours earlier, authorities had intercepted nearly 2,900 kg of explosive materials in Haryana's Faridabad area, raising alarms over a wider planned conspiracy.
With the NIA, NSG, and Delhi Police intensifying their investigation, security agencies are racing to uncover the network behind the attack and prevent further terror attempts.
